The Hellenic Open University successfully completed the training seminars on digital freelancing platforms and mass open online courses (Mooc platforms), in the context of the project “TeleICCE – Promotion of telework and electronic open (MOOC) to increase the competitiveness of business clusters and employment “of the Transnational Cooperation Program” Interreg V / A Greece-Italy 2014-2020 “.
The seminars were attended by more than 70 freelancers and self-employed people from the Region of Western Greece, from various professional categories and this resulted in engaging in a really constructive dialogue, drawing on the training presentation and coordinated by the trainer to evaluate the content of the seminar and bring to light the various dimensions that result from the use and utilization of freelancing and e-learning platforms. Participants had the opportunity to explore the possibilities and opportunities offered by the use of freelancing platforms and digital distance education (distance learning platforms, such as MOOC). The development of digital platforms contributes significantly to the acquisition of specialized knowledge and skills, as they enable the availability of educational material which significantly improves the skills and knowledge about the subject in which they are trained. The implementation of the seminars (due to the limitations followed by the virus Covid 19), was done online, through the use of the electronic platform Cisco WebEx Meetings.
In the next stage they will follow:
- Mentoring counseling sessions for the adoption of a renewed career plan
- Creation of a Career Path for each participant.
Participation in each stage of the project is free.
