Official Opening of the TeleICCE multi-purpose HUB, took place on Friday 21/2/2020. The inauguration was performed by Mrs. Maria Spyraki, Member of the European Parliament in presence of Mr. Platon Marlafekas president of Chamber of Achaia (CoA), other members of the Board of CoA, mr. Pappas on behalf of the Economic Chamber, mr. Nikos Achilleopoulos on behalf of HOU, LB of TeleICCE project and press & media representatives.
Mrs. Spyraki, stressed the particular importance of European programs such as Interreg and that the development of the capabilities of each country depends on the development of its people’s skills. The establishment of the HUB will be a practical experiment for showing that cooperation can bring fruitful results.
The President of the Chamber, Mr Marlafekas, stressed that in CoA, we look forward to European programs as the initiators of the overall effort to make visible the results of the implementation of European projects in the local community.
Mr. Panagiotis Vafeidis explained the main aspects of the project and explained the use of the HUB as part of an overall strategy of the Chamber for the elimination of distance and barriers regarding working and learning.
The multipurpose HUB establishment was funded through the Interreg V-A Greece-Italy Program, and specifically project TeleICCE.
